New Sterling Silver Jewelry
I have a variety of artisans and companies as resources for new sterling silver jewelry and have been selling new sterling for about 18 years. I normally don't stock a lot of one item but prefer to offer a variety of unusual pieces - so you never know what you may find!
Gently Used Jewelry (previously owned)
My favorite past time is treasure hunting for vintage jewelry. During those hunts, I often find wonderful contemporary jewelry, 1990's forward that has been gently worn. I just can't pass up great jewelry regardless of its age and am pleased to offer it at Purple Daisy Jewelry at a very reasonable price. Those are marked as being in used condition.
Vintage, Antique Jewelry
I will also offer some of my nicer or designer signed vintage and, sometimes antique, jewelry. . Most vintage jewelry, pre-1991, will show some signs of wear to plating and stones or light scratches in metal that are consistent with their age. Usually overs of vintage jewelry (or jewellery) understand, and actually embrace, those minor signs of wear. To us, it speaks to the history of the piece, the pleasure it brought to someone many years ago and gives it the charm of authentic vintage jewelry. I am, however, quite picky about what I offer in terms of condition. Most pieces will be in mint, excellent or very good condition . (Please read about condition grading guidelines below.) Pictures speak a thousand words and in most cases are magnified, so please review them carefully as I want you to be thrilled with your purchase.

Grading Guidelines for Vintage and Antique Jewelry, Jewellery
(These are general guidelines - please read "condition" on each listing)
Mint - in original packaging and/or with original tag attached.
Excellent - no visible signs of wear
Very good - structurally sound, no stones missing and any replaced stones are professionally/well done and are noted if known. If a repair was done, it is done very well and/or professionally. Plating may have light wear and there may be light surface scratches consistent with age to the metal and light wear to stones.
Good - structurally sound but there may be 1 or 2 tiny or insignificantly placed stones missing, plating wear may be moderate and more visible to the naked eye. May have repairs. It will be wearable as is if you aren't looking for perfection.
Fair - needs repair, may have heavy plating wear, discolorations, poor repairs have been attempted. It may not be wearable and may have structural issues like a broken pin back or be missing quite a few stones. These are only offered if the piece is, in my opinion, worthy based on designer, age, desireability. All flaws will be clearly stated.
Poor - not offered here at this time. These are pieces to use for stone harvesting, repairing another piece or for altered art and new creations.
